Skills coaching

Practical coaching on the social skills that are harder than they look.

Bring one real situation, one skill from the podcast, or one conversation you're stuck on. We'll spend ninety minutes working through the problem so you leave with a clearer sense of what to say, how to practice it, and what to do next. Most people start with one session. Some come back for a few more if they want to work on related skills.

Tell me what you're working on

How it works

You tell me what you're trying to learn. Maybe you are dreading a specific conversation at work. Maybe small talk with your coworkers still feels impossible. Maybe you want to stop over-explaining every email.

We meet for ninety minutes and work on the actual thing. You leave with a practical way to practice it in real life. One session is often enough. If you want to build a few related skills, there's a short series.

One session

The Single

$150 · 90 minutes

One skill, one focused conversation. Bring something you have been working around and leave with a practical way to approach it.

Three to five sessions

The Series

$400 for three · $625 for five

For when you want to build a few related skills together. You pick what to work on and the order. We stop when you are done.

Start with one session

Skills people actually bring

  1. 01Preparing for a specific conversation you have been dreading
  2. 02Making small talk with coworkers you see every day
  3. 03Asking for what you need at work without apologizing for it
  4. 04Saying no without writing a five-paragraph explanation
  5. 05Giving feedback to someone who works for you
  6. 06Ending a conversation gracefully when you want to leave
  7. 07Writing a clear message for a hard situation at work
  8. 08Asking clarifying questions without sounding rude

These are the kinds of things I coach on. If what you want is in the same family but not on this list, ask me and I'll tell you honestly whether I can help.

Ask me about yours

This is skills coaching, not therapy. If you're working through something painful with a therapist, great. This can sit alongside that work. If you're in crisis, I'm not the right person, and I'll point you toward people who are.

Opened my eyes to a way of better understanding myself.

Thirteen years of doing this work as a volunteer listener on 7 Cups. These are from real people who wrote back after our conversations.

About me

I spent thirteen years as a volunteer listener on 7 Cups because I wanted to help, and the work kept teaching me something. After hundreds of conversations, I noticed a pattern: most people weren't stuck on feelings. They were stuck on mechanics.

They wanted to know how to say the thing, how to have the conversation, how to handle the specific situation in front of them. That's what I coach on now.

I'm AuDHD myself, so I understand why generic advice often misses. My job is to help you figure out what actually works for the way your brain already operates.

Tell me what you're working on

Four questions, a few minutes. I read every one myself and reply within two days. If we're a good fit, we'll book a session. If not, I'll say so and try to point you somewhere better.
